How to View PDF Files
PDF (Portable Document Format) files are created by Adobe Acrobat
software and can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not
already have this viewer configured on a local drive, you may
download it at no cost from
Adobe's Web site.![]()
PDF files on the Potato Variety Management Institute (PVMI) website are best viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher. If you do not have 6.0 or higher, you may have trouble viewing or printing PDFs that are on the this site.
Note to users of Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0: This version has a default feature called "automatically detect URLs from text". PDFs on the PVMI website are best viewed with this feature turned off. Otherwise, certain URL addresses in PDFs on this site may appear to be "clickable" even though this was not intended. (On occasion, clickable links have been inserted into PDFs that are on this site, but in most cases, URL addresses in PDFs on the PVMI website are not meant to be live links.)
Adobe provides tools to help make PDFs accessible to individuals
who use screen reading devices. To obtain additional information
regarding these tools, read the material provided on Adobe's
accessibility web pages.
