How to View DOC Files
DOC (Word Document) files are created by Microsoft
Word software and can be viewed with Microsoft Word or
with the Word Viewer. If you do not
already have this viewer configured on a local drive, you may
download it at no cost from
Microsoft's Web site.
DOC files on the Potato Variety Management Institute (PVMI) website are best viewed with Word Viewer 2003 or higher. If you do not have 2003 or higher, you may have trouble viewing or printing DOCs that are on the this site.
Word Viewer lets you open Word 2003 documents and documents created with all previous versions of Microsoft Word for Windows® and Microsoft Word for Macintosh.
With Word Viewer 2003, you can view, print, and copy document contents to another program. However, you cannot edit an open document, save a document, or create a new document.
